WHAT IS MICROBLADING?

Your eyebrows are as unique to you as your personality. Some people have dark, thick eyebrows while others may have patchy, light eyebrows. These small patches of hair may seem irrelevant, but eyebrow trends are constantly changing, and recently, more people have decided to make their brows stand out as a part of their overall look.

There are many different ways you can make your brows stand out, from eyebrow pencils to thick gels. However, these methods often take more time that you would like to admit. Luckily, at Lash Envy Studios in Mesa, we offer microblading! This innovative technique provides you with the beautiful brows you’ve always wanted without having to reapply every single day. HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR EYELASH EXTENSION APPOINTMENT

If you’re getting eyelash extensions for the first time, then you may be under the impression that you can just walk right into your appointment, have the lash artist apply the extensions, and then walk out looking fabulous. Unfortunately, there are a few things that you need to do before your appointment to ensure that you receive the best results.

SHOWER BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT

When you receive your eyelash extensions, your lash artist will give you a set of instructions that you must follow if you want the best results. With that in mind, one of the most important instructions is to keep your lashes from getting wet for 24 to 48 hours after they are applied. Your lash artist attaches your extensions to your natural lashes with a special adhesive. If the adhesive gets wet, then your lash extensions may fall out prematurely.

With that in mind, it’s in your best interest to shower prior to your appointment. Some people even prefer to shower the morning of their appointment to ensure that they are as clean as possible, as you will not be able to shower for 24 or 48 hours.

TAKE OFF ALL MAKEUP

Another important thing to keep in mind as you’re getting ready for your eyelash extension appointment is that you need to take off all of your makeup. Any traces of makeup left on your lashes can interfere with how the extensions adhere to your natural lashes. If you come to your appointment with makeup on, then your lash artist will have to take time out of your appointment to remove all of your makeup. The best thing to do is to take your makeup off the night before your appointment, and then when you shower the next morning, go over your face again to ensure that all of the makeup has been removed.
